The Thought of You by Marie H Designs

I'm loving my gig at Ginger Scraps, I just hope that they don't kick me off the team for slacking this month. I've been on vacation and haven't had access to internet to download any new kits to scrap with.  SO... I'm home now and getting busy playing catch up!  The first kit I chose to work with is a new release by a new designer at Ginger Scraps.  The kit is called The Thought of You and it's by Marie H Designs.

Cirque de Birthday by Meredith Cardall & Amy Stoffel

Meredith Cradall and Amy Stoffel have combined their talents to make a fun new kit called Cirque de Birthday.  I remember Amy from back in my days of owning My Life and Scrap... she's GOOD!  This kit had a lot of great elements and I really liked the main colors- red and turquoise.  How neat!

Here's what I made:

I'm a WINNER!!!

I pretty much NEVER win anything, so when I do I can hardly wait to tell the world about it.  I'm a huge fan of Rainy Dayz Designz.  She makes the some really amazing templates and is one of the most generous designers I know. She often has some sort of give away on her blog and one of the recent ones she hosted I WON!!  What did I win?  Well, I won one of her fabulous bundles.  Let me show you...

These (and many other great templates) are available at Two Little Pixels in Rainy Dayz Designz shop.

Gallery Stand Out at Digi Shop Talk

I'm so excited.  On of my pages made the Gallery Stand Outs over at Digi Shop Talk on Sunday.  I've only had a handful of my pages make it into the Gallery Stand Outs so when it happens it really makes my day.  It honors me to know that others think my art is appealing.

More Dirty Words by Crowabout StudioB

I love, love, love Nancy's "dirty words".  She has a whole collection of them.  One set I even helped her make *beams*.  Today a new set has been released, More Dirty Words.  You can never have enough dirty words, right?  Oh come on, it's not what you think.  The words aren't naughty, they're just dirty... as in they have dirt on them!  LOL.  Take a look below and see for yourself.

Here's what I made:

Cherry Picking by Sweet Digi Scraps

This kit has been out for a while, but I didn't want to pass up the chance to work with it.  I love cherry trees and cherry blossoms and this kit has plenty.  They didn't really fit into the layout I made, but I assure you, they are there.

Here's the page I made:

Liberty by Sweet Digi Scraps

I've always admired Liz of Sweet Digi Scraps.  About a year ago I was a guest on her Creative Team and loved every moment.  Unfortunately, it came at a very bad time in my life and I wasn't able to be nearly as creative for her as I longed to be.  Now, things have slowed down considerably and I've been given the opportunity to re-join her.  I've been really enjoying myself and doing my best to be active on her team.

Liz's latest kit, Liberty, is a fun patriotic kit that came just before Independence Day here in the USA.  I have a funny story of how my page came to be.  I had downloaded the kit, but didn't have any patriotic picture to scrap at all.  I'd spent a few days thinking on it and finally Independence Day rolled around.  It was hot!  My dogs were laying, panting, on the floor.  They looked so miserable.  I was thinking about how they were such hot little dogs.  Hot dogs?  Then the play on words came to me (which always amuses me).  So I thought it would be fun to combine the tradition of hot dogs on the 4th of July (Independence Day) with my very own hot dogs... and I had the perfect kit, paired with the perfect template by Roadside Designs.

Here are my 4th of July Hot Dogs:

Jetsom by SherrieJD

Yep, you read that right- SherrieJD.  Kind of getting back to my roots.  I Was on Sherrie's CT back when she first started designing.  One thing lead to another and I had to leave the team (and always regretted it).  A few months back I asked Sherrie if I could come back, but she had a lot going on herself and wasn't doing much designing so she didn't really need a Creative Team at that point.  Well... a couple days ago Sherrie sent me a message asking if I still wanted to be a part of her CT, that things are about to start happening and she's building up the team again.  I was floored.  Of course, I said YES YES YES!!!

Without further ado, here is my piece using Sherrie's latest kit:

Born in USA by Paula Kesselring

When I first begged Paula to be a part of her Creative Team she was creating items that would work perfectly into an art journal.  At that time doing more art journaling was my intention.  As time passed Paula's style has drifted away from Art Journaling.  As time has passed my style has drifted away from Art Journaling.  I still want to do more Art Journaling, and now that I've FINALLY completed my 2010 scrapbook and I'm well on my way through my 2011 scrapbook I feel like I'm "caught up" enough to do "fun things" LOL.  Anyway, back to Paula.  I LOVE the new stuff that she's been crating.  Her latest creation is this really fun patriotic alpha- Born in USA.  Every day I'm thankful to be an American and nearly every day I find myself face to face with an American soldier and every time I do I feel privileged express my appreciation for their service.  This Independence Day, if you have the chance, thank a soldier for your freedom, if you don't have the chance please take the time to honor them.

This is my piece:
