Pixie Plates 259-262 by Neverland Scraps

I LOVE love LoVe templates!!  They're so much fun and I end up creating pages that I never would have come up with on my own when I use a template.  This week I got to play with Pixie Plates 259-262 by Neverland Scraps.  I really had fun with these.  I re-sized everything to make it all work for me, but that's part of what makes templates fun, I can add, remove or change it up to make it mine.

AJC 2012 Parcel 9 by Tangie Baxter

I picked this little Parcel up a LONG time ago, knowing that the perfect moment would eventually come to use it.  Last week's quote prompt in the Art Journal Caravan happened to present the perfect opportunity.

Mind Behavior by Rucola Designs

I just finished up another page for my 2012 Quote Book.  This page was inspired by a prompt from the Art Journal Caravan 2012.  I used a new kit by Rucola Designs called Mind Behavior which seemed perfect for the quote!  This kit is currently available for just $5.20 at Deviant Scrap.

Solavei: Time to get PAID!!!

I know that up until now this blog has been all about my art projects, which has been fun, but that wasn't my sole intention for this blog.  My plans were actually to write about all sorts of things that make my world go round and today I have a new subject to write about... making money with Solavei!

We all like getting paid, right?  I know it's a silly question, but really, does anyone NOT want to get paid?  Leonard has always said that if I found a business I was passionate about I'd do well.  I think I've found it.  For years now I've watched friends and strangers upgrade their phones to smart phones (spending loads of their hard earned money to do so) while I sat idly by with my "dumb phone" wishing there was a way I could enjoy the fun things they were able to do with their smart phones.  The time has come and I'm excited to join the world of Smart Phones!

Back in September a new company started up called Solavei.  Solavei is a Network Marketing company that specializes in Mobile Service.  The company has partnered with T-Mobile to provide affordable cell phone service to the average person.  For just $49 per month you can have unlimited talk, text and data.  You can use your own phone or you can get one from Solavei on the cheap (that's what I chose)!   You can take a look to see if your area is covered by clicking HERE.  Once you've done that just follow the prompts to get started.  You don't even have to wait until you get your phone to start sharing the news.  Tell your friends and family about the great deal you're getting and when they sign up, you get paid.

But wait!!!  There's more!  (I've always wanted to say that LOL).  If you enroll before December 31st you can get your phone free!  Can't beat that deal.  Oh, and did I mention... there are no contracts, you can quit any time you want (as if you'd want...)

I'll be back soon to tell you all about my getting started experience.  It was so easy you won't believe it!

Get paid using your smart phone with Solavei

By the Campfire by Blue Heart Scraps

For December my Designer Partner over at Ginger Scraps has been Blue Heart Scraps.  Her style reminds me a lot of true paper scrapping and that can really spark my imagination.  I decided it would be fun to make a wall hanging with a very neat quote I saw in Latin in a book I just completed.

Friendship (Monthly Mix) by GingerScraps Designers

This month the girls over at GingerScraps have created another fun Monthly Mix kit with a friendship theme. I had fun making a page for my quote book using a quote from the Art Journal Caravan (prompt #12).  I really like how it turned out.

Sailing New Seas by Dancing Princess Designs

I've really been enjoying playing with the girls over at Scrap Takeout.  Their designers have come up with some things that are really cute.  Like this new kit by by Dancing Princess Designs called Sailing New Seas.  As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to make.  It came together with such ease (sometimes that makes me wonder if what I made was any good LOL).  But I'm happy with how it turned out and that's all that really matters, right?

One Haunted Evening by Connie Prince and Trixie Scraps

My kiddos are so sweet, every year they let me dress them up in some silly costume and take pictures.  I think they know that they only have to keep them on long enough for pictures though LOL.  I had fun playing with this cute kit by by Connie Prince and Trixie Scraps.  Very spirited.

Sleepy Time by Jen Yurko

Kaycee fell asleep on top of the remote!  It was too funny.  I couldn't believe I was able to get a picture.  Once I did I knew I had to find a cute yellow kit to match her little Tee Shirt.  Sleepy Time by Jen Yurko was just what I needed.

Feelin' Groovy (Collab Duo) by Craftastrophic Designs & Joyful Heart Designs

Today is mine and Leonard's 12th anniversary.  Sometimes it's hard to believe it's been that long and other times it seems like it was just yesterday.  Time is such a weird thing.  Anyway, I thought I would make a little something to celebrate, maybe I'll even end up printing this and putting it on the wall.

Dia de los muertos (Monthly Mix) by GingerScraps Designers

I absolutely love Day of the Dead paraphernalia!  I think that it's an amazing holiday, to celebrate the dead- a Mexican tradition celebrated on November 2nd upwards of 2500 years!  I found a great quote that I wanted to use in conjunction with the Monthly MIx kit created by the GingerScrap Designers- Dia de los muertos!  This will be another page for my quote book.

Pumpkin Parade by Ruccola Designs

I love Halloween an I love ATCs!  It's been ages sine I've made any and since I've started trading with my niece I'm really excited to be back at it.  One of my co-workers is kind of in the same boat, hasn't traded ATCs in a long time and when I told her about trading with my niece it lit a spark and I asked if she would like to swap.  She said yes, so we did!  I chose to use Rucola Designs latest release, Pumpkin Parade foro my ATC.

October 2012 Culinary Specialists Collab by STO Designers

Each month the girls over at Scrap Take Out create a new collab called the "Culinary Specialists Collab" and it's always jam packed with goodness.  The kit for October (which I'm obviously WAY behind on) was full of bright colors and elements that make super fun Fall layouts yet it's versatile enough to be used with all sorts of themes.  Just take a look.  I also used a fun template by Rainy Dayz Designs.

Eerie Whispers by SherrieJD

I'm a little slow this month, not sure what's going on, just been ridiculously lazy I guess.  SherrieJD put out a fantastic new kit called Eerie Whispers a few weeks back and I'm just now getting around to get my piece uploaded to all my galleries and posted on my blog.  Not being a very good support person, I guess : (  But I have to tell you, this was a super fun kit to play with.  I decided to make an ATC for sweet niece, Emily.  She told me that she likes Owls, so I thought she would really like this.  I can't wait to hear what she says!

Right Now Prompt October 2012

Everyone knows Ali Edwards, right?  Always inspiring.  Well, I recently stumbled onto a blog post that inspired me to act.  Ali prompts you to create a list of things about you.  You can read all about it HERE.  I decided I would make a journal page with my list.  I used Art Styling Bundle by Sweet Digi Scraps.
