"700" Art Journal Page

I have a counter on my phone that counts down the days until I get to be a "Stay at Home Artist".  Ask me any time and I can tell you how many days remain, without looking.  Am I excited?  You bet I am!  A couple weeks ago I hit the 700 days mark and thought it was worthy of an Art Journal page.  I also wanted to practice a background technique that I had recently read about so I thought this would be a good place to try it out.  The background was perfect for journaling, I knew I wanted to do a bunch of that, I had a lot to say, but most of it I didn't want to share so I thought it would be fun to conceal a big portion of it with butterflies (a symbol for change).  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

  1. Love it! :) That's a wonderful background and the butterflies are fantastic. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of where you read about that background technique?
    Congrats on hitting 700 sweetie!

  2. Oh My! it's beautiful! I zoomed in and read what was uncovered... could not resist. Yeah on -700. Can't wait for us to hike when you get to zero!
