Who's Wise (Monthly Mix) by GingerScraps Designers

Over at GingerScraps they're starting a new feature called The Monthly Mix.  Rather than a huge collab that can be overwhelming and never get used 3-4 designers are teaming up each month to create a much smaller and manageable collab that everyone can enjoy.  I don't know if it will always be themed like this month's kit, but I'm willing to bet it will always be awesome.

This month's kit had an owl/back to school theme.  Since I don't have kids and my dogs don't attend obedience school I was a little lost on what to do with this one.  After a little thinking I remembered that there was a quote from the Art Journal Caravan a few weeks back that I really wanted to put in my quote book.  So I went to work on it and here's what I came up with:

Rise Above by Dancing Princess Designs and Something Sweet to Eat by Rainy Dayz Designs

I've really been enjoying my time as a Creative Team member at Scrap Takeout.  I really believe it has the potential to be the next up and coming destination for Digital Scrapbooking.  Since I've been there every week there has been at least 1 exciting new designer joining the team and I honestly believe that growth is the key to survival.

Speaking of new designers at Scrap Takeout... this week I chose to work with a template from a designer who was recently a guest and has now decided to be exclusive here- Rainy Dayz Designs and a kit from yet another designer who is new to Scrap Takeout- Dancing Princess Designs.  Both are extremely talented ladies and I'm honored to have had a chance to work with their goodies.

Perfect by Wyld Web Designs

My Designer Partner at GingerScraps this month is Wyld Web Designs, whom I absolutely adore!  I chose to play with a newer kit called Perfect because the color pallet caught my eye from the moment I saw it!  I didn't have a photo that matched the colors exactly so I played with one I did have.  The colors still aren't a match, but I"m pretty happy with how it turned out.

I decided to play in the Template Challenge at GingerScraps this round also.  I really liked the template and thought it would work well with what I had in mind for my page.  So, be sure to stop by and check it out (and get a free template).

Old School by Paula Kesselring, Peeps & Milo and Sarah Barber

I always enjoy working with Paula's kits.  They're right up my alley.  Great for art journaling, and that's why I first fell in love with her designs.  Paula recently teamed up with two other exceptional designers to create Old School.  One of the recent quotes posted in the Art Journal Caravan came to mind so I used this kit to create my page for the prompt.  It was a lot of fun!

Emily's ATC Binder

A little over a year ago I got to spend some time with my niece who was 12 then.  She told me that when she grows up she wants to be an Artist!  Much to my delight, of course.  I've been encouraging that dream ever since by sending her little things and making art for her.  I recently suggested we start trading ATCs and she said that sounded good!  Again, much to my delight.  SO... I decided to get a binder together for her and some baseball card sleeves (ATCs fit perfectly in them) to go in the binder and I made her a nice insert for her binder.  It's all set, complete with her very first ATC and it will go in the mail on Monday.  I'm SO excited.

Here's the insert I made for the binder:

And here it is all printed and put together:

Wild Blue Yonder by Finecrafted Designs

The moment I saw this kit I knew it was special.  I've had a deep seated love for flying as long as I can remember.  I dream of being able to fly.  When I was a teen I was given the opportunity of a lifetime- the gift of flight.  I learned to fly and it was the greatest feeling I could ever imagine- being up there in the clouds looking down at this beautiful planet we live on.  But I squandered it away.  I was young.  And now... what I wouldn't give to be in the sky again.

My page today is inspired by a prompt from the Art Journal Caravan.  It will go into my quote book.

Blocking and Popping by M&M Designs

I've got 2 super new products to show you that are coming out of Scrap Take Out.  One is a brand new set of templates called Blocking and Popping by M&M Designs and the other is the monthly collab with contributions from many of the designers at STO.  It's a really fun kit with some sweet elements.  But first, I want to show you what I made.

Color Me Pretty Templates- Set 2 by Dagi's Temp-tations

I'm so excited to tell you that I've found a new Store CT to be a part of.  It's a fun new store and I'm very excited to be a part of their growing process.  I think it has a lot of potential.  Great designers there, easy to navigate and an extremely fun community.

I just completed my first page as a Site Creative Team member!  I used a template from a new template pack called Color Me Pretty Templates- Set 2 by Dagi's Temp-tations.  The template and the kit were really fun and easy to work with and I love how my page turned out.

Find Yourself by Sweet Digi Scraps

I'm completely blown away by this new collection by Sweet Digi Scraps, created for her guest spot at The Digi Chick.  It's HUGE!  But the fun thing about this collection is you only buy the parts of it that you want, so you don't end up with some ridiculous MEGA kit that you'll never use because you got lost after link 27 of downloading.  I chose to work with the part of the kit called "The Trainer" because I'm losing weight and making great progress in my journey to getting healthy.  I had a before picture and a 6 month picture and this kit was perfect for showcasing them.

Courage by eNKay Designs and Dana Zarling

I get so excited over color!  Which is funny because in my day to day life I don't usually wear a lot of colors and when I choose different items they're usually not very colorful.  Color is definitely "outside the box" for me, but it's such a treat for my eyes.  Maybe it scares me, maybe I'm not sure how to make it work... Anyway, when I saw the colors of this new kit by eNKay and Dana Zarling I definitely got excited.
